Everybody STOP...tassel time! Ok maybe I've just been looking for a way to incorporate M.C. Hammer into a blog post. Well, today is that day. It is HOT here in the Ham right now and what better way to cool off than with a tasseled crop top and white linen shorts? The only other answer would be a frozen drink of any variety and a swimsuit but since that isn't acceptable at work, class, society, etc. then this breezy look will have to do.
The tassel crop top is really the centerpiece, I actually ordered this top a while back in hopes of having it for July 4th. But it ended up being back ordered so I just received it this week. I love the detailing of the tassels and the light blue gingham provides a beachy, preppy, carefree vibe. The material almost feels like pajamas, I will say the top zips up in the back and would advise sizing up if you are on the curvier side. Speaking of PJs, these linen shorts fit the bill! They are so SOFT and easy to throw on plus provide a different look than denim shorts and are great for the hot summer days. Now on the opposite side of the spectrum of the top, these shorts run big so size down if you want a more fitted look or you can order your regular size and they are super comfy and a bit slouchy. I'm hitting Universal Orlando at the end of the month for an annual end of summer trip with one of the besties and I'm definitely packing these with me!
With my colorful Mar Y Sol bag (which is technically a beach bag but I use it as a regular purse) and a few simple accessories this easy look is ready for the summer sun!
